What a joy it was to jury this exhibition! The beauty is evident as you look at the collection on display and the variety of artistic expression apparent as you explore each individual piece. So many different media are represented from acrylic, watercolor, and alcohol/ink to collage, photography, quilting and paper cutting.

     Selecting award winners and works to receive honorable mentions was tough duty! I try to look for works that capture my attention and stand out from the others. It is intuitive, a gut level instinct. But I also consider more objective criteria such as a compelling composition, competence with the media, originality and aesthetic quality. Those selected “exhibited” all these characteristics. Enjoy the show! ~Jody Williams

Ron Edwards showed the world his view from behind his lens: simple and pure.  As a photographer for over half a century, he had several published works and won awards for his creative photography. Ron was also a writer and singer/songwriter. His musical talents landed him TV appearances with Oprah Winfrey, Regis Philbin, and Dr. Oz. Ron was a teacher for over 40 years. Ron was an avid dog lover and never hesitated to donate to rescue causes. His lifelong passion for teaching and inspiring the next generation is a legacy that will live on forever in the students he inspired. Ron had been part of the Framations resident artist family since 2007 and he will be missed tremendously.
