Valerie Dratwick, a recent graduate of UMSL with a degree in photography, explores in this exhibition a comlplex set of imagery. One series on display is a set of black and white photography using an overlay of images to create a light, airy dreamlike quality. This is in start contrast to another sereias of very intracate imagery through the use of very dark forboding scenes that invite the viewer into mysterious settings. In this exhibit, Valerie demonstrates skills not only in her use of film, but also in manipulating and layering images digitally. Valeri uses multiple printing processes, including the Ziatype process.
