About Artist Linda Smith:
Missouri Fine Artist, Linda Smith, is a graphic designer with over twenty years of experience. She contuinually finds new levels of creativity and inspiration along her artistic journey by varying her subject matters & mediums. She paints still lifes, plein air landscapes, figures, portraits & abstracts. her favorite subjects are women (often painted in series). Linda Smith conveys their life stories thru expression and gesture. She works in pastel and oil and exhibits a command of both mediums.

About Artist Michele Wells:
Originally from Vancouver, Canada, Michele attended art school there in the 1980's but did not choose art as her career. After moving to St Louis in 1994, she started painting watercolors; however she switched to pastels in 1999 and has never looked back. Her favorite subject matter tends to be landscapes, although she has recently been creating some abstracts. Michele spends many weekends outdoors painting "en plein air". She is a member of the Plein Air Painters of Mid America as well as the President of the Gateway Pastel Artists in St Louis. She is also a member of the co-op artists at the Gateway Gallery in Clayton, MO.

About artist Jaclyn Lawson:
Born and raised in a small college town located on the Missouri River in southeast Missouri, Jacyln was always interested in drawing. It wasn't until college though, that she decided on a career in art. She has a BFA with an emphasis on graphic art from Washington University in St Louis, MO. While starting a family, Jacyln became involved in art festivals, displaying small paintings of children & commissions of homes. The renderings of homes became very poplular, and to date, she has done over 1500 homes, businesses, churches and schools. She has also done various freelance work for businesses. knowing the imprtance of drawing skills, Jacyln formed a "draw from a live model" group that meets at the St Louis Artist Guild, of which she is a member. She has held chairmanship positions with several art organizations, continues to teach classes and workshops, demonstrates for local groups, and juries art shows. She has received many awards and has been accepted in over 50 local, regional, and international exhibitions. Jacyln's paintings can be found in collections in the US and overseas.

About artist Susan Rogers:
Susan Rogers has been working on the medium of pastels for over 10 years. Recently, she has been incorporating some different collage techniques to some of her pieces. this art may start with a layer of torn acid free paper which is attached to the support using an acylic matte medium, then gold, copper or silver leaf may be added as accents. the details are created with acrylic paint and/or pastels. She has been accepted into many prestigious, juried art shows including: Art on the Square, The Midwest Saluteto the Arts, the Top 200 in the National Arts for the Park. She has won numerous awards and recognition in her career as an artist.
